Work

Work

It is the sense of the Congress that "work" for humanists, whether it is paid for or done outside of the economic market, is understood both as a way of contributing to social necessities and to enhancing the quality of personal life. Work is not merely a means for acquiring material possessions. We believe that work itself must be humanised and enriched and that work must be available for all and valued by all.

Access to professions

The congress considering that it is of the highest importance for each state in particular, and for human society in general that each individual should be able to accede to any function (profession) to which he feels attracted, and for which he is particularly fitted,

Is of opinion that it is necessary to offer to each and all adequate economic opportunities to develop their aptitude at all educational levels and in all specialisations of teaching.
