Dear Babu Gogineni,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I also extend seasons greetings to your family & members of the IHEU, Amnesty International and other Human Rights Groups.

Thank you for the message I received ...

I was arrested on 4th October 2000 at 6.00 pm from Chinar Clinic of G-9/Markaz islamabad where I was examining the pts (patients). The Maulana (Islamic Scholar) who registered the case against me have never read anything written by me, published or unpublished, he had neither heard anything from my mouth, nor he had ever met me in life. He registered a case agianst me merely on hearsay (rumours) and on suspicion of being a Mirjai (recently declared non-Muslim in Pakistan). This is not according to legal procedure at all, as well as it is not in accordance with Islamic law.

Since October 4, 2000 I was locked up in the torture cell / punishment cell till a month ago when on my repeate requests for  Diabetes, I was shifted to semi-punishment security cell. Investiations against me were one-sided and on a rit petition my viewpont or my lawyers defence statement is also being included.
In the morning times, I used to give lectures to Homeopathic Medical students and in the evening I used to examine pts. One group a case against me making students as witnesses.

While the proceedings are on, I've not been indicted as yet.
