United Nations’ Gender Equity Architecture Reform

This meeting of the IHEU GA resolves that IHEU and its Member Organisations support the GEAR Campaign (Gender Equity Architecture Reform) and the United Nations High Level Panel on system wide coherence recommendations whose main points are:

• An independent women’s entity within the United Nations with Under-Secretary General status and predictable and sustained funding with $1/2 billion to £1 billion in the first year

• Mainstream gender initiatives and awareness throughout all United Nations systems, offices and initiatives.
