MVV was established to promote a society free from caste and a life style free from
religion. MVV works for women’s empowerment, strengthening of the scientific
outlook and for a balanced ecology. At MVV we promote human values and a
humanistic culture through support to secular and democratic politics.

Past and Present Activities:
Science Talent Tests for School pupils. Anti-superstition campaigns in villages.
Seminars. HIV-Aids Awareness programmes. Humanist Family meets. Study Camps
on Humanism. Activism for spreading democratic values. Lobbying with Indian
parliament as regards Secularism. In cooperation with fellow Humanist organisations
campaigned against Indian geomancy (Vaastu).

Secularisation of society and politics.
Has founded Navataram Pelli Vedika, a Secular Marriage Forum
Has founded Manavavikasa Kala Mandali, a Secular Cultural Troop

Publishes Manava Vikasam magazine, monthly, Telugu language.
