Formed 2005.
Aims:
The objects of the AHQ are to favour, develop and promote secular humanism and critical thinking.
Those objects are expected to be reached through activities that are, directly or indirectly, conductive of public education regarding secular humanism and critical thinking.
Real world events:
1-Regular meetings, 4th Monday of each month, 7pm, at the AHQ headquarters.
2-CinéClub Humaniste (French and English significant movies), 1st Thursday of every month, 7pm.
3-Every year, together with the Fondation Humaniste du Québec, the Mouvement laïque québecois and the Sceptiques du Québec, four “Fêtes humanistes” on the very date of each solstice and each equinox.

Intensive exchange on the Yahoo list “AmisAHQ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AmisAHQ/

Areas of special interest:
-Humanist baby naming and wedding ceremonies.
-Conversion of humanist books and documents to audio files (mp3) for the benefit of blind humanists (only in French so far)
-Selection for the trophy of “Best Summer Camp for Humanist Kids” (to be awarded in 2007)
