World-wide birth control

The International Humanist & Ethical Union, assembled at its 8th World Congress in Hanover, Federal Republic of Germany, August 1-5, 1982, is of the opinion that the continuously growing number of births is a fundamental cause for hunger and mass-suffering on earth.

World-wide birth control by means of immediate and effectual action is necessary to fight the hunger in this world. The unrestrained growth of the world population may be the end of mankind. In countries with a high birth rate more instruction, material encouragement and easily accessible methods of contraception are very necessary. This has to be pursued in spite of religious or ideological opposition.

Action is particularly important when one considers that e.g. the Roman Catholic Church regards families as a blessing of God and abortion - whatever the reasons for it - as murder.

The world religions are unable to solve this problem. The appeal to and dependence on supernatural powers are ineffective. Only human insight and action can prevent a catastrophe.

WWBC

I hope this gets through asap.. Our choice of freedom is killing us. The only thing which wont entirely screw us all is WWBC. If not, well let's hope that doesn't happen. People are dumb not to understand the consequences of their actions. What aint for their time aint their problem, right?

How can we make this happen? This needs to happen...

Concerned for the hundreds of generations to come, if nature lets us.. Seems it's taking action to balance it all out... Only thing is, we are creating an inhabitable planet, so there won't be any "home" left. Technology is way behind for us to simple take off into space and live out there. Then there will be the matter of who can go on the spaceship and who gets left behind. If some do live to survive, they'll do the same thing. Repopulate some planet, and in time all will be forgotten about how it led into the search of a new home planet. That information will probably get lost because of some dumbass.. We all need dumbasses right? Who else is gone clean up? Doctors, scientists ... ? So when they do leave with their ship I Kinda hope that the brilliant ones do forget to pack up the blue collars and die in their own selfishness.

This might be a serious problem but on the other hand I think everyone has the right to rise his own children. I think some poor nations need birth control measures and international organizations should provide education and help.
