IHEU is calling for bids from its Member Organisations to host the 2008 IHEU World Humanist Congress.

IHEU's World Congresses are held once in three years, and hosted by a Member Organisation.

Recent IHEU World Humanist Congresses were held in Mexico (1996), Mumbai (1999), Amsterdam (2002); the forthcoming Congress in 2005 will be held in Paris.
