The Swedish Humanist Association is the official Swedish humanist organization with more than 5000 members. Founded in 1979 as a federation of member organizations, the Swedish Humanist Association promotes Humanism and a secular society. It supports and represents people who seek to live ethically valid lives without religious or superstitious beliefs. It is working towards a world without religious privilege or discrimination, where people are free to form their lives on the basis of reason, experience and shared human values.
