Description:
Freethought Day commemorates the termination of the Salem Witch Trials on October 12, 1692.
A 'Freethought Week' was first proposed by Freedom From Religion Foundation member David Schreiber to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the end of the witch trials in 1992.
