We offer individuals the opportunity to support international Humanism by becoming Individual Supporters.

Individual Supporters receive International Humanist News and can attend the IHEU Annual General Assembly as observers. They also receive discounts at IHEU World Congresses.

Membership is open to all Humanist organizations that accept the Minimum Statement (http://www.iheu.org/minimumstatement) and that meet the requirements explained at http://www.iheu.org/membership -- which also has full details of the process for joining IHEU. Only member organizations have a vote in deciding IHEU policy and the right to elect the IHEU executive committee.

Our conferences and Congresses are advertised on this web site. Full details of times, dates and places are always available and up-to-date there.

In order to attend an IHEU General Assembly, either you must be nominated by an IHEU member organization or you must first become an IHEU Individual Supporter (see http://www.iheu.org/supporter). In both cases, you must register in advance using the form provided on the web site.

For all other IHEU conferences and Congresses, a fee is payable and you must register in advance. Again, full details and the necessary form are published on the web site.

We do have a small fund available to provide financial assistance to attend IHEU Congresses. However, this is restricted to attendees nominated by IHEU member organizations and the limited amount available is not sufficient for all those who would like to attend.

Many IHEU member organizations have local branches and affiliated organizations in their own countries and regions, so if you do not find what you want among our member organizations, a good place to start is on their web sites and look for listings of their affiliates.

You can also search Google: "humanism" and the name of the country or region is usually successful.

IHEU does have a small number of scholarship schemes, but only at specific schools in the Third World.

We do not train celebrants or organize ceremonies ourselves.
