How to make sure you receive IHEU emails and newsletters

AOL
AOL operates particularly aggressive blacklists with no warning to sender or recipient. If you have more than one email address, you should consider using your non-AOL address to sign up for newsletters.
Yahoo
To ensure that your newsletter is delivered to your Yahoo inbox (not the bulk mail folder), you can instruct Yahoo to filter it to your inbox. Here's how:

Many email programs (such as older versions of Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, and Netscape Mail) provide no convenient way to whitelist addresses from which you do want to receive email. If you have one of these and you are not receiving your newsletter, or you want to make sure you continue to receive your newsletter in the future, there is something that you can do about it.

Barracuda uses several algorithms and processes to determine whether emails are spam. Occasionally, it will mark a legitimate message as spam. There are two methods to whitelist email senders so that the firewall will not quarantine future email.

Skip to detailed instructions for your mail system: AOL | Yahoo! | Hotmail | Windows Live Hotmail | Microsoft Outlook | Gmail/GoogleMail | Earthlink | MSN | Other mail systems. We also have instructions for many spam filters.
Over-enthusiastic spam filters may stop your email and requested newsletters from arriving in your inbox. Here's how to clear the way for IHEU's newsletters.
Unsolicited commercial email or 'spam' is a big problem. Most email services and ISPs use blocking or filtering systems or 'blacklists' to filter 'bad' email.
That sounds like a good idea, but many current systems are less than perfect. They may block email that you have specifically requested. Responsible providers are working to reduce 'false positives', but right now you might find your newsletter doesn't arrive consistently.
Good news: there is something that you can do to get your newsletters more reliably. You can counteract blacklists with a 'whitelist'. Whitelist us now. Follow the link above for your email system.
Every system is different, so we have provided instructions for some of the most popular ones. If you have problems with these instructions, please contact your ISP's customer service team.

Trend Micro
If you received an email message that was incorrectly moved to the Spam Mail folder by the Anti-Spam Toolbar you can prevent this from occuring in the future. The Anti-Spam Toolbar detects spam by looking for certain keywords in the email's subject or body and matching it with the anti-spam pattern file. Occasionally, it may detect what you consider legitimate email as spam.
To prevent this from occurring you can do either of the following:
- Add the sender to the list of Approved Senders
- Decrease the Spam Email Filter Strength
Note: You can also select the email and click Not Spam to report it to Trend Micro. However, this feature serves only as a reference when we develop our spam database, and it may not have an effect on how the toolbar detects spam.
Add the sender to the list of Approved Senders
- Open Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express.
- Click the Spam Mail folder then select the legitimate email detected as spam.
- Click Approve Sender on the toolbar.
- Click Yes when the confirmation message appears.
Decrease the Spam Email Filter Strength
- Open Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express.
- Click Trend Micro Anti-Spam then click Settings.
- On the Spam Filter tab, move the slider bar to select a lower filter strength.
- Click OK to save your settings.
